​For decades, public space has denied ordinary Iraqis access, due to Saddam's brutal rule or the raging conflict that had reigned the country. Now, as Iraq enters a relatively calm period, the public is reclaiming these public spaces. For months, I have been documenting the return of public to these Iraqi spaces.
